We begin our musical journey with music from our own home - Oklahoma. Featuring chamber works from Marvin Lamb, David Jansen, and Anne-Vale Brittan, all of the works on this program are written by native Oklahomans or composers who currently live in Oklahoma.
Featuring the Dr. Jonathan Nichol from the University of Oklahoma, the Amabile Quartet, and many others.
Our first destination is the city of light - Paris. Experience wonderful music from multiple eras of French music, including Cesar Franck's Cello Sonata, Gaubert's trio for flute, cello, and piano, and vocal works by Durufle and Faure. Also featuring ScissortailNEXT performers.
Our special guests for this performance include pianist Cynthia Cortright, flutist Alyssa Andriotis, and Robert Fasol and the Cantate Singers from St. Luke's United Methodist Church.
Join us for an evening of international music with international coffee! This program will feature a potpourri of popular music along with light classics in a casual atmosphere. Coffee and desserts will be served as part of this wintertime evening.
Featured performers include the Amabile Quartet, Les Flanagan, Susan Adams-Johnson, and many others.
We conclude our musical journey in the heart of Europe with a program featuring great Romantic masterpieces from masters of chamber music. ScissortailNEXT performers will begin our evening, and we will conclude with Mendelssohn's Piano Trio in D Minor.
Our guest performers include Trio Lyrique and Michelle Eiler from Oral Roberts University.
All performances begin at 7 pm and are held at First Christian Church in Norman, 220 South Webster Avenue.
